Usually the health department takes care of this and they are usually located elsewhere. The septic system is where your waste goes.  This can be a hook up to the city’s system or your own private system if you are building out in the county.

This includes the grey water (from sinks, washing machines etc.) and water closets (toilets) and the solid waste.  The soils report will give you your percolation values which in turn you give to another engineer to design your septic system.

It seems like everyone has there hand in this design so far doesn’t it.  Well we are just getting started, so you really will be surprised how many people it takes to get this done right.

However having said that, most of this leg work can be done by you and save you thousands in add on fees from your architect etc.  That is one of the reasons I wrote this eBook in the first place is to save you money.  The more you can do the less it will cost you get it.
